John Harvey

John Harvey is an undergraduate assistant for LMR. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education at the University of Mississippi after obtaining his Associate of Arts in Music at Northeast Mississippi Community College.

John was raised in Philadelphia, MS where he began performing both scholastically and in the community at a young age. During high school, he competed across North America in dance, voice, and theater winning various awards and accolades including an international championship in Montreal, Canada. He has been involved in many ensembles including Rocket Theatre Troupe and Mississippi Lions All-State Band along with various praise teams and choirs.

While at Ole Miss, John participates in Men’s Glee, University Chorus, Concert Singers, is a scholarship singer at St. Andrews Methodist Church, the Vice President of the Ole Miss chapter of the ACDA, and is working with Dr. Bradley Robinson for voice lessons. Outside of campus life, he teaches various dance and colorguard camps across the state and is a medalled choreographer within the MIA Winterguard Circuit.
