Maya Taylor

Maya Taylor is a senior at the University of Mississippi, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Gerontology. She serves as an Undergraduate Assistant for Living Music Resource, where she assists with live event production, audio support, guest setup, and behind-the-scenes logistics that help bring each program to life. Through this role, she has developed valuable experience in event coordination, teamwork, and creating meaningful arts experiences for the campus and local community.

Outside of LMR, Maya is actively involved in the university music community. She helps lead Songwriting Sessions, is a member of University Chorus and Concert Singers, and has experience mentoring and teaching through music-based programs. Her academic and professional interests center around communication, creativity, and helping others find their voice through both speech and music.

The most beneficial part of being a part of Living Music Resource has been the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience while working alongside inspiring artists, educators, and peers. It has allowed her to grow professionally, build confidence, and be part of a program that uses music to connect people and create positive impact.
